Prior to coming to AUM in 2016, I taught at the University of Alabama at Birmingham for two years after receiving my Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of California, Riverside (2013). I am interested in a broad range of philosophical topics, including free will and moral responsibility, ethics, metaphysics, and the philosophy of addiction. As a native Alabamian I have really enjoyed the past few years being back in my home state teaching philosophy. My non-philosophical interests include history and SEC football (so most Saturdays during the fall I am glued to the couch...I lose my free will).I encourage you to check out Introduction to Philosophy course. We will discuss the nature of God, ethics, personal identity, and other deeply philosophical ideas.
